only 4 AoC players?! what a bunch of slackers...

There was 3 AoC players from last year who did not return for this year, so we could have had 7 but still - I would like to have seen more so I don't have bring in other people.

In my other league there was only 6 returning players of 12. I did not try to bring anyone else in and when we did the draft. It felt like bad, just to easy to get good players. Like shooting fish in a barrel. I suspect I won't enjoy a 6 player league, the competition will be to lacking due not enough managers to make it interesting.

I just noticed that the Asia & Pacific Island Division has 3 of the 4 AoC players in it. I bet you guys planned it that way.

well laggy won't let me beat on him in AoC... so i have to settle for beating on him in fantasy football

The preseason has already started and I was asked if we are doing another season of Fantasy Football. Sure why not, let us hope we get more AoC players to join this year.

I'm currently traveling out of State so I'll set the league up some time when I get back home. So let's take the time to determine a draft day. I have not looked to see what days are available so be general in your responses. I'm looking for days and times, such as: weekend only, any time or Monday - Thursdays after 6pm EST & Friday - Sunday from 6am-9am and 9pm to 1am. I'll try to pick a day and time that works well for the majority of the group. If you can not make the live draft, don't forget you can also set up a pre-draft list for the AI to use in your absent. Any time you put down will be considered EST unless you specify another time zone.

Okay, I'm back and I've set the League up. If enough players reply and want to see a different draft day/time. I can do it provided I can get the free slot for that day/time, so voice your comments soon.

The Live Draft is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 4th at 9:15pm EST.
If you can't do the live draft. Don't forget you can set up a pre-draft list for the AI to use in an attempt to draft the players you want. Otherwise, the AI will try to draft the best available players if you can't make the draft.

The Season begins Sept. 5th, with the first game of NFL season.

I took a quick look and it looks like yahoo has changed how the site looks and how you join the league. Usually all you need to join is:
League ID#: 861963
or
League Name: Age of Conquest
and you enter one of them on the join page.

I did not see that so I'm not sure how players can join specific leagues without being put into a random public league. The only thing I can think of is to send you an email invite which would require you to give me your email address. If anyone finds the way to join the league, please post it here for others to benefit from. Thanks.

it was a pain in the ****, but i found it. i used the draft date/time to locate the league.

Yeah, yahoo screwed up how a player should join. Don't know why they changed it but they did and it's for the worse.

American Football, the NFL is right around the corner and so is Fantasy Football. Which raises the question, do we want to do another season of NFL fantasy football? If so I'll recreate the AOC League. If possible I would like have enough players so we don't need to open the league up to the public. So - let's get a quick head count to see how many AOC players are interested on joining NFL Fantasy Football on yahoo. It's free to play. Just post here if you are interested in playing. If we get enough people I'll recreate the league and post the league information here.
