I realized. The tournament grid has no value. The enemy is determined before the beginning of the round. You can't predict what your opponent. The weak will always be against the strong. Is this fair? Usually the ranking is important only in the beginning of the tournament.
However, I'm ready to play with any opponent.

Well, to answer your question of is this fair. It's a common method used my several professional leagues, tournaments and sports. So it's fair in the sense it commonly accepted. The question is what is being empathized for fairness. Fairness can be conceived in several ways. In regards to the AOC League, it is meant to represent the best players in a competitive environment. So with that as the main goal. Yes it's fair as the fairness is being stressed to limit the luck of lower ranked players from getting lucky.

In the League of 2 on 2 of the rules are the same? And the enemy is determined by the cumulative rating? or otherwise? You can show the current rating position of the players in the 2 on 2?

The short answer is both. It's a combination of cumulative and otherwise.

This has been well discussed and documented on the forum. See topic:

I read the link that you gave. From it, I realized that it was important rating at the beginning of registration and the time of registration. Then acts grid of the tournament. But from the tournament 1 on 1, I realized, that it is important rating at the start of each round. So where is the truth?

In the current ranking we(Spago/Petraa76) have to play with a couple of Bendamaster/KievRus. On the grid of the tournament with a couple of GoBuckeyes/bperuti. I want to understand with whom we are going to play? what is the principle of determining the opponents?

The truth is within what has been documented and posted to the website. The 2v2 league is a little bit different from the 1vs1 league for obvious reasons. That being multiple players had to be accommodated for.

The not so obvious reason is for the 1vs1 League, realRiff suggested a method. Then noblemaster coded it. They didn't work on it together at the same time so if a decision had to be made that was not previously foreseen, noblemaster made it or so this is my assumption. So what is coded for the 1v1 league is what noblemaster coded based upon what realRiff recommended.

The 2vs2 league is all realRiff, so it should work as he envisioned to be. Therefore, I'll leave the explanation of it to him.

I suspect it will be highest rating matched with the lowest rating, then the next highest with the next lowest.
