Hey folks!

Ocsav and his sharp eyes have pointed out a flaw in my creation of the league duels.
Happily it's not significant eventually, but still good to know.

Quick info up front:
I used an RNG (randon number generator), either giving out a 1 or 0, to determine the sides to play from for each duel.
For example: When determining the sides for the duel of Age Of Turk against MastersOfWar, I would have taken the '0' for Age Of Turk on the left and the '1' for Age Of Turk on the right side.

Take a look at the full list of all duels in the original thread post.
You can see that it's meant to Age Of Turk vs MastersOfWar, so left vs right side.

However they actually played the other way around in League Phase 2.

Here's what happened:
After the randomization process I used a league creator to split the duels into 3 groups, i.e. the 3 League Phases. That program just gave me the duels in random order (could've used that as the RNG too then).
When creating the duels I had not kept in mind that those duels depicted in the league creator were not according to the randomization I had done before.

That's why some duels were played not according to the full duels list.
Others were, that's not a product of a conspiracy however, but just coincidence (it's 50/50 after all).

So, why is that not of significance after all?
Am I just saying that to protect myself?
Is Curare playing a dirty game with all of you?

Well, no.

The scenario is meant to be as balanced as can be on our Ancient Map.
It's not a symmetrical map, however 100 test runs before CCL1 (AI vs AI) led to the result of 50 wins for each side.
It was totally even (keeping variance in mind, that's a bit lucky for demonstration purposes, but still).

I hope you do see how this did most likely not affect anything at all.

I choose to handle these things out in the open for everyone to be in the picture.

If many of you want to do their duels of League Phase 2 again, then we'll see how we go from there.

I hope that won't be the case.

I am sorry for the mistake and very thankful for Ocsav to be so perceptive.

However, the scenario is as balanced as it can be and if you were to disagree, then we would have to do every single duel twice anyway.

There will be no repetition to the games already played. You have to state that clearly, otherwise all who lost those few games will want a re-match. As you said, the scenario is balanced so there is no need for repetitions, and the people who lost those duels would have a 2nd chance to win them and that would not be fair to the other teams who lost and dont have 2nd chances. It stays as it is. That's my thought on this

Although MOW lost a terrible number of games, i think we don't have to play them again. The left and right side of the map are indeed different, but as fair as possible. So let's just finish the last games of phase 2 and go to phase 3.

I think this is good to know and I thank you for being transparent, but I don't think it requires any change or alteration of the tournament. Essentially, the positioning was still random, just not random as you had intended.

I just wanted to make sure that the sides are as balanced as can be (as far as I know) and that I am not fixing games in any way.
