I got an idea for an app, game, or however you want to really call it. There is programs out there for you to make classic rpg, platformers, and etc games.

Now it might be a stretch but want about an app for hex games? We already have an editor for aoc and don. Could compile aspects from games(DoN,RC, AoC 1-4) and the editor and turn it into a full on customized hex game maker. Allow terrain to be edited at a greater extent and assets to be imported. Make an easy option of making character models or scenario pieces by inputting png files. take modding for the editor where you have to go in the module and config files and make is more accessible in the app where its easy to change a units values and etc. I could possibly list a bunch more features that could be added, but I think I covered the basics.

I know this may be no easy task to do and will take quite a lot of work but it is interesting.

The question is what the end goal would be? Editing is one thing, but to convert the edited map (?) into a game is another story.

In case you are looking for a HEX/etc. map editor, here is a free one:

I think it may be a project I try to do when I get to my next level of programming class. I think I know a system that can convert a map into a game but of course I still know null about programming. Strategy games are my favorite genre and I hope to take my hobby of game development further in the future.

like I said just a thought (: banana
