Hopefully you can continue to produce games for many years to come! I think Demise of Nations should do better than the Stormfront series.

Yes, Demise of Nations should be good! It actually uses the same mechanics as AOC but with a much greater functionality, aka units, etc. Now, I just need to be able to pull off the WEGO system for it. It was somewhat "easy" for AOC but even there people have questions on why a unit moves first/last etc. We'll see... :kg:

I seem to recall in V2, there was a sort of "roll" at the start of a game, which randomly placed who would get to move first, second, third, etc etc. Such as the 1st Player's first move would play out, then the 2nd Player's first move, then the 3rd Player's first move, then the 4th Player's first move. Then the 1st Player's second move, then the 2nd Player's second move... you see where this is going.

Am I wrong here? I really do seem to recall this!

I don't recall what's used in V2 exactly but it's probably the same as in V3: the strongest empire generally moves first I believe?

I'm good with a beer shower, as long as I can mix it up with a wine bath.

So the player who moves first is the strongest?? How is the strongest player determined? By diplomacy? size (# of provinces)?, military population? civilian population? Income? some formula of all of the above?

Its funny how people dont know these things which infact are so important for you to win the game.

Example: Fodder, he plays this game longer then me and he is moderator... So if he doesnt know, probably 90% of players dont know.

Its also funny that there is nowhere to read about it... You just have to figure it out... I for example at start though that the one who does his moves as last, will actualy move troops as last ingame, but then on more occasion I noticed that this is not the case, so I was looking for another "pattern" intil I figured it out. banana

In my defense, I don't play enough to pick up on all the little things but I still know quite a bit about the game. In addition even thought I might not have know that. I did know how it worked before AoC3 upgrade and it was called AO. :-) I agree. I suspect the majority of the players don't know that fact or most of the little that you can only learn by observation.
